The next alpha version of Firefox 3.0 will be released in June.
The Mozilla.org community plans to release the fifth alpha version of the Firefox 3.0 browser, known under the code name Gran Paradiso, on June 1. The first alpha version of Firefox 3.0 was released last December. This modification of the software product was aimed primarily at developers and was not recommended for installation by end users. The Mozilla.org community notes that there will be a lot of new features in Firefox 3.0. In particular, mention is made of support for more graphic standards, including SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), increased security and stability, and offline support for web applications. In the upcoming alpha version of the browser, a new system of bookmarks will be implemented with the ability to automatically sort by popularity and frequency of use. In addition, the composition of Firefox 3.0 will include a built-in SQLite database to store the history of visited pages. Users can view cached pages, search for images, text, and so on. The final modification of Firefox 3.0 should come out towards the end of this year. In addition, the Mozilla.org community is already planning to release a fourth version of the software. It is assumed that Firefox 4.0 will support JavaScript 2, which is under development. JavaScript upgrades make it easy to write and build high-performance web applications for authors who have little experience in creating code.
