Died rydel23, legend Bynet

After a year in a coma, Vladimir Katkovsky , known throughout Belarus as rydel23 (rydel, br23, r23), died at the age of 31 in a hospital in Prague. An extraordinary person, a webmaster, a programmer and a journalist, he was at the origin of the formation of Belarusian communities in all more or less significant Belarusian forums, in Livejournal and Wikipedia.

It was Vladimir Katkovsky who created the Belarusian interface for the search engine Google , it was he who founded the national section of Wikipedia. These are just a few grains of the great heritage that he left behind.

June 15, 2006 Vladimir got into a car accident . His wife, the Albanian Yonad, lost her legs, while Vladimir himself was in a deep coma for almost a year. Life support devices were turned off on May 25, 2007.
