What happens in Mchost and Oversan
In this post I want to tell the details of the story with the disconnection of DC Mchost. We visited it at night and are now in their office.
Brief prehistory: yesterday at 22-00 Oversun disconnected channels in DC Mchost for chronic defaults. Lookatme.ru had 5 rented servers on the site.
The technical department Lookatme.ru by 24-00 found out what the problem was and we started taking measures to get backups and restore the site’s work.

It was not possible to contact someone from Mchost during the night. Support Oversan said that they open FTP and SSH. When the server could be put into operation, the support could not say anything and we decided to go to DC.
At 1 o'clock in the morning we started to pump backups, at 2 o'clock in the morning we were already in DC at Aviamotornaya 53. Without getting to the territory, we managed to meet Oversun employees and agreed to be at 9 am, when access to the territory of the Scientific Research Institute of KP will be opened.
Today, at 9 am, we went to the Oversan office, there was no one of the Mchost employees on the site, there was no one from the company’s engineers. Only at 11 am came Elena Zaitseva, who is engaged in a colloquation. Where is the rest she could not say. Until now, none of their support or engineers can not be found.
I want to say that, despite the tough decision to turn off the channels on Mchost, the guys from Oversun are currently making a lot of effort to help the clients of their ex-partner. In the office, the telephone is constantly ringing, the call center in fact switched to the support of Mchost customers. From 10 am, people regularly come for their servers and with hard drives to download backups. Thanks to them for that (and especially climax Maxim.)
At the moment we managed to pump out almost all the backups and we will soon go to our office to restore the site’s work in full.
