Dialing a number by thought power

Yesterday, after watching House 15th series, I decided to find out if there really is a device that captures brain waves and creates images from them. So far, the search has not been successful, but I found a device that allows me to dial phone numbers with my power of thought.



The picture shows the latest EPOC headset reader from Emotiv Systems. Issue price - 299 dollars. The device is equipped with 16 electrodes that read brain waves.

How does it work?

The user should look at the phone and think about who he wants to call. When the desired number appears, the signal is transmitted from the EPOC headset to the laptop via Wi-Fi, and the laptop digests the information and transmits the command to the iPhone.



The second way: different photos flash on the display of the mobile, and when the right one appears, the user winks at it. After that, the number is dialed.



The system is still complex, but this is only the beginning of development. Such devices are planned to be built into bicycle and motorcycle sleeps and into baseball caps. Of course, when brainwave headset readers become less cumbersome.



Perhaps my dream will come true soon - I will be able to lie in bed, while at the same time writing to Twitter and working.
