Google Analytics servers can't handle the load

Last week was the hardest in the history of web statistics service Google Analytics . Those ill-wishers who said that it is impossible to provide such resource-intensive service for a million audience of users can rather rub their hands. Servers still did not cope with the load. Google Analytics was not available for more than a day for some users. For their sites, counters show zero traffic during this time.

Forums and blogs are filled with outraged reviews. The fact that Google is extremely clumsy in this situation and trying to silence the problem is also causing discontent.

Most of the victims say that the service was unavailable on Tuesday and Wednesday, but some mention problems until Friday. In all cases, the problem is the same: in Google Analytics statistics there is zero site traffic for a long period of time.

“This is surprising for a company whose computing network has more than 400,000 servers,” says the author of the famous StartupSquad blog, whose statistics were not updated around the day on Tuesday-Wednesday, and also around 20 hours on Thursday-Friday. He is particularly outraged by the fact that Google’s dismissive attitude towards users, since not a single word about the problem appeared in the official Google Analytics blog .

Last week, from Tuesday to Friday, dissatisfied users started at least three threads on the official Google Analytics Help forums. None of them appeared official representative of Google.

Google Analytics is a free service and, naturally, does not bear any responsibility towards its users, but still this is an extremely unpleasant situation for Google, which has almost all the services free of charge.
