Eco-friendly server box made of cardboard
As is known to experts, in a modern server, more than 10% of the cost is the body. The cost of the package ultimately affects the cost of services for data center customers. Previously, our company has developed cost-effective 2U-cases, which have reduced the cost of entry-level servers, which could not fail to please our customers. We decided to develop this idea, and considered further ways to reduce the cost of our services. And since our company is environmentally conscious, we have successfully and fully implemented a new production project - server housings made of cardboard:
Taking care of the future of our planet, we use only cardboard obtained as a result of recycling of recycled materials, therefore we called the new product “Eco-housing” or “Eco-chassis” for the external market. The cardboard case was developed and successfully implemented in production. The maintenance department and the server assembly site also praised the new product. Here is the assembled server from the inside:

One of the significant advantages of the “Eco-housing” is that its assembly requires only minimal skills as well as materials and tools that are in any household or office:
The established skeptics of our design bureau protested, stating that cardboard was inappropriate material for server cases, but they were wrong. We filled several racks with servers assembled in such cases, and it turned out that there are no significant differences in operation from traditional metal ones.

The retail cost of the case is less than 15 hryvnia (less than 2 US dollars). We accept orders for the delivery of batches of 1000 pieces (standard pallet). Cases are delivered in the form of a cardboard sheet with a cut, for self-cutting:

At present, our design office is developing a full-size 4U package, a super-economical 1U package for 2 motherboards, server racks and server cabinets made of cardboard. The enthusiasm experienced by fire inspectors at the sight of our products is neutralized by certified fireproofing, which processes all products.
Also, in the near future, it will be possible to download the patterns of all our products in electronic form for self-production, paying a small amount by SMS.
