SMD Rework Station Lukey702Long thought to which block to publish. The station is cheap, costs in Russia from 1600 to 2500 rubles, depending on the greed of the sellers. I think every homemader needs to have such a device. I have long wanted to buy this, and it is not clear how I used to do without it! The station is compact, those who know other crafts by Lukey, stations of the old generation, made in hefty iron boxes, will appreciate the ergonomic case and controls.

The station comes in good packaging.

We open, everything is as it should be, in foam plastic and polyethylene.

We get everything. Included: manual, soldering iron and stand for it, a bracket for a hairdryer, 3pcs bolts for attaching the dryer bracket to the station (only 2pcs are needed, one, apparently, spare), a trimmed cellulose sponge (I bought the “full-size” one right away), a key for mounting nozzles for hair dryer, nozzles 3pcs.

We fasten the holder of the hair dryer to the body. Everything is collected. At the station: air flow control knob "AIR", hot air button "HOT AIR", 2 buttons for adjusting the temperature of the hair dryer, a window with the temperature of the hair dryer, soldering iron on button, "SOLDER", 2 buttons for adjusting the temperature of the soldering iron. The soldering iron can be turned off and put into the closet.

Turn on the outlet, I want to quickly check and try everything. We measure the temperature of the hair dryer, first at a small temperature, the knob for adjusting the air volume in the middle position. We expose 100 ° C. As you can see, a fairly accurate temperature. The hair dryer operates from 100 ° C to 480 ° C.

Check for a higher temperature. We set 350 ° and we see that the thermometer shows 378 ° , which is quite bearable.

The stubs of HAKKO were purchased immediately, my native did not even try, immediately put a good one. Above - native, below - HAKKO

Getting to the soldering iron. Working temperature of the soldering iron is from 200 ° to 480 ° . Everyone knows about a defect with a heater; it does not “reach out” to the tip of the sting by 7 mm. We disassemble the soldering iron.

Ceramic heating element.

Hard to get the board out of the handle, but with the help of “narrow-nose pliers” we take out the board and see that the heating element can be easily rearranged by soldering the wiring to the “higher” contact pads.

Photos from the other side.

Soldered.

On the other hand.

Now the heater almost abuts the bottom of the sting. We collect everything. Checking the soldering iron. We set 300 ° C, in the middle of the tip it shows 271 ° C, which is understandable, because the temperature of the heater is set, we make a “correction” in the head for the future.

A minor revision. We take here such a "non-slip mat."

Cut two strips from the rug.

And we glue the “Moment-Crystal” glue on the bottom of the stand for the soldering iron so as not to “crawl” on the table. Now the stand is on the table as "rooted"!

At the same time we cut out from the mat and glue such rubber on the “third hand”, popularly known as “Cthulhu” ...
And more advice! In order for the cellulose sponge not to burn, when cleaning the sting, it is natural to pour water into it, it should always be wetted. BUT! Water dries constantly. It is necessary to pour on the sponge is not water, but the usual pharmacy glycerin, thoroughly soak them with a sponge. After that, it will always be wet!The station showed itself perfectly in work. Soldering iron and hair dryer go to operating temperature for 10-30 seconds. After turning off the dryer, the air continues to go and cool the dryer. When reaching 50 ° C, the hairdryer is turned off. After work, when the hair dryer is placed in the holder, the heating automatically stops. I did not use expensive brand stations, so I have nothing to compare with, for home use, I think even for professional ones (and these stations are used by 70% of cell phone repair services), it is quite good! Recommended for purchase!
UPD: I forgot to say that this station has a “fake” ceramic heating element. Inside ceramics - nichrome. If you want “real” ceramics, you need to buy a Lukey 868. But its price is 1,000 rubles more.
