Three GLONASS satellites launched in early March started work yesterday (European Russia is covered with their 100% signal)

The official page with information on the composition of the GLONASS satellite constellation (as well as its peeep-impression made on the case of habraeffect) shows that yesterday (March 28) all three devices launched on March 2 from Baikonur into near space began work.

Judging by the map published on one of the neighboring pages of the site, the current GLONASS grouping, due to its incompleteness (20 satellites are working, but 24 are needed) is still not able to provide the entire world with a navigation signal. However, most of Russia is already provided with satellite navigation for 100% of the day, and in other parts of Russia (marked on the map in yellow), interruptions in navigation amount to no more than 5% of the day (about an hour). It looks like this:

In particular, today residents of European Russia and Western Siberia can enjoy the 100% availability of the navigation signal. In the future, the access zones will gradually shift along the surface of the Earth as the satellite system moves smoothly in near-Earth space.

Further replenishment of the GLONASS spacecraft is scheduled for the fall - two launches of three spacecraft each. Among them is an unprecedented experimental satellite that provides double navigation accuracy, does not need to be sealed, and can work in orbit for ten years in a row. He is currently undergoing a series of ground tests .
