Today I decided to carry out a preventive change of passwords for the services that I use more or less often. When the queue reached the asek numbers, I habitually changed the passwords for accessing mailboxes on the
Rambler and continued to perform this procedure on other resources.
I enter the new password for connecting to the ICQ server into the client - the password is incorrect, the old password is appropriate.
Logged into the mailboxes on Rambler, for some reason both numbers were untied from the account. The most interesting thing is that back in November both UINs were tied and I managed to change the password in this way.
It turns out, if in theory the password was twisted, then it could not be restored due to the lack of a primary e-mail (and then the password recovery on
https://www.icq.com/password/ does not work for tied to various resources such as Rambler type) . Of course, in the case of theft, you can register a new number, but this will be associated with a number of inconveniences (for example, transferring a contact list).
Now I think to refuse such bindings altogether and to register my email addresses for password recovery.
Nobody came across this?
UPD: I contacted Rambler technical support for comments.
UPD2: The technical support service Rambler wrote that at the moment the recovery of ICQ passwords through an account on the Rambler does not work.
