Red Hat reported record profits

Red Hat reported on the results of the last fiscal year. According to these data, the American Linux-company recorded a record profit from its flagship solutions based on RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).

In the fourth quarter ended February 28, sales from Red Hat subscriptions amounted to 169.2 million USD, indicating a growth of 21.4 percent. At the same time, sales from services and training fell slightly, reaching 26.7 million USD. The total profit for the fourth quarter increased by 46.3 percent and amounted to 23.4 million USD.

At the end of the year, total sales increased by 14.7 percent, reaching 748.2 million USD, while total profit increased by 10.8 percent, reaching 87.3 million USD.

For the next fiscal year (2011), Red Hat plans to increase sales by 12-14 percent to about $ 835-850 million.
