The Komi Internet community has adopted an open Internet convention with rules of conduct on the global network. The discussion of the document took place on May 25 at a “round table” devoted to issues of self-regulation on the Internet.
The convention is based on a set of rules for conducting Internet discussions of the inventor of the term Web 2.0 Tim O'Reilly and the creator of the free encyclopedia Wikipedia Jimmy Wales. In particular, as the convention proclaims, Internet users are ready without the intervention of state and law enforcement agencies to resolve conflicts on Internet communication platforms (Internet forums, chat rooms, blogs, comments on informational materials and other resources for placing user content) on their own.
“We take responsibility for our own words and for the statements that we allow to leave on our Internet sites. We will not post ourselves, and authorize administrators to remove material that conflicts with moral principles and current legislation. We will not tell our network interlocutor what they would not dare to tell him in person, ”the convention says. ')
The convention is open in nature, and any “users” have the right to make changes that will be adopted with the approval of the rest.
