Announced the first Android-based smartphone with WiMAX - HTC Evo 4G

At CTIA 2010, which takes place in Las Vegas, mobile operator Sprint Nextel presented the first Android-based smartphone with WiMAX - it was the HTC Evo 4G (formerly known as "Supersonic").



Specifications:

• WiMAX, CDMA (EV-DO RevA);
• 4.3-inch capacitive WVGA display (480 x 800);
• Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1 GHz;
• 512 MB of RAM (RAM) and 1 GB of internal memory (ROM) + slot for microSD-card;
• 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, dual LED flash and the ability to record HD video (720p);
• 1.3 megapixel front camera;
• GPS with Sprint Navigation support;
• Wi-Fi 802.11b / g;
• Bluetooth 2.1;
• standard audio jack (3.5 mm);
• HDMI port;
• 1500 mAh battery;
• software platform - Android 2.1 + HTC Sense UI.

The cost has not yet been announced. Home sales - this summer.
