Masterpieces of domestic modding
Since such a binge has gone to the trend of considering and discussing modding shells, I’ll cover the masterpieces of Russian modding. Perhaps, not the most beautiful buildings will be described here, but some of the most famous ones, which are not just gathering dust under the table.
In Russia, modding appeared at the beginning of the last decade. But active development began in 2005. It was then that good work began to appear, including custom cases.
One of the first successful Russian projects is Mecanique.

The fashion was based on the Chieftec AH-01SL-U case.
The first was made "head" for the body:
It does not carry the functional load. Only decorative.
And of course, then a beautiful wall was made, which served as the main highlight of the case:
The result - one of the first something worthwhile domestic work.
At the same time, the Serpent appears in the Russian modding arena, creating more than one corps and becoming one of the most famous modders. The project (it seems) was called BombPC.
Unfortunately, there is no worklog of this work, so we can only enjoy the photos of the case already collected.
In 2005, not the most successful Ferrari project was made, but after repainting, in 2006 the building was transformed and began to look much better.
The engraving on the side window is fascinating.
The author even took care of carrying handles.
The body turned out really «Ferrari».
We were pleased with the interesting work of the xooler modder.
Work title - MAXX Project.
The case is an enlarged copy of the GeForce 7950GX2 video card.
And again the body from the Snake - AkasaBuild.
The name of the corps was the competition for which modding was made.
The body is very thin.
We can say that this is the first nettop.
In 2007, the Serpent will delight us with two more buildings.
The first one is LowSphere.
The case is made up of 5 pentagons and 5 hexagons, as well as a soccer ball.
And when the light is on, the case never ceases to please the eye.
And the second project is SLI-CUBE.
The hull was made for the SLI-Fast and the Furious contest.
Made of acrylic and pvc.
And one more case - Tirex Nebuchadnezzar.
Work on it began in 2006, and a year later we saw the result.
Modder tarator also worked on the creation of a slim body, called Razor Light.
The height of the case is 41cm, the depth is 24cm, the thickness is 6.5cm.
In addition to small buildings, huge monsters began to appear:
The corps has not received any name.
Not only metal attracted Russian modders. Zwick Ivan made a wooden box.
Inside is the most precious thing - the motherboard, the video card ...
The window cut through at the top gives the “box” a certain charm.
In 2008, the Dark Side case from Strannik is definitely worth mentioning.
Despite the simplicity of the design - two combined tubes, it looks very stylish.
Carbon stickers and orange lights give the UFO association.
Pipes are like turbines.
In addition to futuristic cases, you can also find beautiful older cases.
The name of the body - Double pentode. The case is made by Timoshkin Alexander aka TANk.
But once computers consisted of a huge number of such "light bulbs".

This time the case dimensions were 95x190x350 mm.
Another body labeled SLI was made by DIMA modder.
Case Name: nVidia Mechano SLI project.
Two gears modder tried to portray the work of two video cards in conjunction.
And finally, from the beginning of the decade, we gradually came to an end. Corpus Sharp Edges from the mod_r Mr_Pet hurry to please your eye.
The soft white glow in the black case makes an indelible impression in the dark.
The project has been done since 2007.

The project, unfortunately, remained without a name.
