Soyuz-Telecom mobile WiMAX will appear in forty-two settlements of the Moscow region. (Terms not yet named.)
About a month ago I mentioned that in two cities of the Moscow Region (in Chekhov and Serpukhov) a mobile WiMAX from Freshtel appeared.
Today I’ll add to this one more February news found on the website MSKIT.ru . It turns out that Soyuz Telecom also plans to come to the Moscow region, and even with a noticeable scale: it is planned to build a 4G mobile WiMAX network in forty-two locations in the Moscow region.
True, the specific dates of such deployment were not named. One of the previous news shows that first of all (in a couple of weeks or two ) , Soyuz Telecom will appear not in the Moscow region, but in seven other regions and regions of Russia.
Personally, I was most pleased with the statement quoted by MSKIT by the executive director of Soyuz-Telecom OJSC(Yury Katyutin), who said:
It's no secret that monopolists are "rampant" in many cities of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the development of WiMAX technology in the regions today is not only promising, but also necessary. With the arrival of Soyuz Telecom in the regions, the public will have the opportunity to connect to the wireless, high-speed Internet using Mobile WiMAX 4G technology. Our goal is informational equality of large cities and small towns, villages and villages.
The end of the quote.
I also consider the Digital Gulf (the colossal gap in prices and speeds of the Internet, separating the megalopolises and the rest of Russia) as one of the main problems of the information development of our Fatherland, one of the most significant ills of the Russian people. ')
It is good to see that a company finally appeared, openly aimed at restoring digital equality.
