Cognitive tomogram

In the fresh series of “Doctor House” a new, hitherto unknown, device — cognitive imaging — appeared, allowing to reflect the thoughts of the patient on the screen. However, it’s still too early to worry about the privacy of thoughts: The laboratory of cognitive tomography is still far from deciphering signals and can please you with an example of tomogram analysis. But scientists from University College London can already determine whether the subject watched a video with tea drinking or throwing a letter. So the series can be congratulated on the development of the science fiction genre.

But not in the genre business - in a niche product placement, previously occupied only by mass brands, come non-existent technology. On the one hand, this will certainly help scientists to get additional investments, and on the other hand, perhaps in the near future, the battle for attention and money will unfold between research teams, and advertising for a nonexistent, but branded technology will become an integral part of scientific research.
