In the past year, I have more and more respect for everything that Yandex is doing. I was really impressed by their progress and I gladly migrated to their services (mail, tape, maps, photos, etc.). Moreover, I have knocked out a few friends to go to Ya.Pochtu and other Ya.services. And all this time with my friend installero I have a constant controversy “Yandex vs Google”. But lately, it's getting harder and harder for me to keep up.

In January, my colleague, to whom I advised to switch from mail to a new Yandex. Mail, asked me a completely natural question: “Why does a company that specializes in search have so poor search for mail?”. And I did not know what to say ...

Since then, and the end of March is nearing, nothing has changed. With the help of the neo web-interface, I can’t find the letter I need in 90% of cases for about six months. The only thing that partially saves me is that I installed thunderbird, in which, fortunately, the search is OK.

With the mail you need to urgently do something. And here is a list of problems that Yandex.Mail has (write in the comments, I will update the list):

1. Awful search works. Without it, mail is almost useless.
2. By the way, why not choose the search parameters: the addressee, the body of the letter, subject, etc.?
3. Periodically sending from Yandex.Mail does not work with neither smtp nor web interface. This is very sad. I had to use a non-primary gmail-box to immediately send a letter. In addition, I had to explain to a person what kind of a box it was.
4. Sometimes it takes me a few days to go to the mailbox with gmail. For example, on March 15th I received a letter sent on March 13th. And this is not the first time!
5. When I look at the letter, then on the right I see a thread of discussion. But if there is no discussion, it is reasonable to place links to the last letters from my interlocutor on the right. Very often this is not enough
6. I have set up mail collection from another mailbox in both Yandex.Mail and Gmail. Gmail allows (and even proposes by default) to send mail on behalf of the mailbox to which the letter arrived. Yandex sends mail only from a Yandex mailing address. I know about Yandex.Mail for your domain, but due to a number of circumstances it does not suit me. And every time I have to get into gmail to respond to the letter with the required field "sender".
7. There is no possibility of sending a letter only to recipients from the Hidden Copy, it is necessary to fill in the To field. Moreover, in the previous interface there was such a possibility. This is necessary, for example, if you want to send letters to people so that you do not “burn” the e-mails of recipients to each other.

I want to immediately warn you that there is no purpose to tell J. Mail - sucks, Gmail taxis. This is the cry of the soul of a person who really liked and seemed very promising products of Yandex, and I hope this topic will change something.
