On the market there are many controllers for the "DSLR", but all have certain limitations on the functionality. The guys from HDR Labs together with Steve Chapman developed the so-called Open Camera Controller - not only a very sensible, but also an individually programmable remote control module for the camera based on the Nintendo DS toy. The controller is equipped with a touch screen and a battery that can withstand eight hours of continuous operation.

Let's combine this device with Canon, Olympus and Sigma cameras. In the "stuffing" - a powerful exposure bracketing, intervalometer, shutter release on a loud sound, as well as the ability to expand functionality with the help of applications with an open access code. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not intend to put such devices on a mass market, however, they still took care of the users and wrote detailed instructions for creating a wired controller based on the old WarioWare portable game system: Twisted. In the process, you will have to tinker with wires and a soldering iron, but in any case, when your camera allows you to play Mario during the break between filming a fashion show and Rammstein concert, it's better than nothing.
