Co-author of the XML language moved to the Android team

Web guru Tim Bray (Tim Bray), one of the authors of the XML language, left Sun Microsystems and was accepted into the Google Android development team. About this Tim reported in his blog under the heading "On the territory without evil" (Now A No-Evil Zone).

Explaining this decision, Tim Bray said that in a philosophical sense, his position coincides with the concept of Google's business in general, including in opposition to the Apple iPhone.

He likes the openness of Android for developers, a large set of interfaces, the spirit of open-source, strong Android support from Google and an open market for applications.

Tim Bray explained that he highly appreciates the hardware and hardware of the iPhone, but the entire ecosystem is reminiscent of a “sterile Disney garden surrounded by sharp-toothed lawyers.” According to him, application developers for the iPhone "serve the owner and fear his wrath."

All this causes Bray only hatred. He believes that the closed hardware and software platform iPhone contradicts the concept of the open Web.

XML co-author is genuinely convinced that Apple is wrong, and with his work on Android, he will try to prove it.
