I have a project on the Internet, similar to torrents.ru (not that the tracker, but that the content is similar). Not so big of course, but quite famous. And the domain in my zone RU .
After the events of February 17, with torrents.ru (and where were You on February 17?), I see the following picture: right holders (or rather people who supposedly represent the interests of rights holders) are beginning to write actively to the project’s support with requests (threats, demands) to urgently delete information located under the link such and such. And before that, they wrote, of course, but very little and, after the request to clarify, on the basis of what we need to delete the text and pictures (we don’t have any files - they are on the exchangers), which are located according to the link, usually disappeared. And after the 17th, it seems like the base appeared, they say, “Do you want to be covered up like torrents.ru? Then we go to the prosecutor's office! ".
We didn’t delete anything, there is no reason. The activity of people, allegedly representing the interests of rights holders, is steadily growing, which, at least, is alarming. I also registered a domain in the ru-center and today the most interesting thing happened - a letter came from the ru-center with a request to submit identity documents within 3 working days, otherwise the domain will be removed from the delegation (in accordance with clause 3.3.2. Domain Registration Regulations ... and Domain Registration Rules ...). The domain was registered for a long time and then they did not require documents, although they may have, I don’t remember. And they asked to submit documents for the contract on which the domain of the project, about which I am writing now, hangs. There are other domains - they are not asked to send documents to them.
Tolley want to divide the domain of the roofing felts to find a person for whom the domain is registered.
I want to ask for advice dear gentlemen. To which registrar to transfer the domain ru. Is it possible to transfer to Western registrars or are they resellers of one of the Russian registrars of the ru zone?
ps Apparently now there will be a sharp rejection of the ru zone.
