That's probably my last topic on Habré. Why last one? And because after him I’m probably going far away to minus, so, without hesitating, you can finish off my karma.
In the community, I have a relatively long time (about 2 months), all this time I have been intensely watching the community and trying to understand the principles of life here.
(I participate in many communities and observe purposefully).
And, frankly, I can not understand Habrahabr at all. It would seem that in the community, people should somehow support each other, this is one of the basic principles of the communities, but here this principle is greatly distorted. I see support only of the most authoritative in relation to each other, while all the others stand aside and quite often, when it causes, even the slightest dissatisfaction, this other (often newcomer) goes into a minus and at the same time completely do not care what person.
From here to get a novice in the "authorities" you need to raise the rating and make friends.
As in any community, it is not difficult to make "friendship", it’s enough to bring all your friends, relatives, countrymen, etc. to the list of "friends" (with raising karma) and they almost always do the same, although karma is increased only in half of the cases, I thus raised karma to 10 (after the recent reshaping of karma).
')
And the second, more effective way: to write unique articles, preferably on the topic of the Internet, web development and well-known IT companies, and preferably in your blog, this post affects the karma more strongly. However, for the sake of raising karma, few people would want to write articles, and even with such a relationship to the newcomer.
And here he is, a vicious circle! A newcomer does not fit into the community, and it is very difficult to become a non-newcomer due to community principles. The rating obtained from entering the "friends" quickly goes to no, so I have it, at the time of this writing was about + 2x.
The difference of other communities in their greater openness. Usually the newcomer is either neutral or condescending. Here there is a feeling that Habr is a closed community, a certain circle of authors who write for themselves and do not want to see anyone. This is confirmed by recent surveys, where participants expressed the opinion that new people only bring harm, the quality of the material decreases, it becomes uninteresting, etc.
I don’t know why I wrote this; I’m probably interested in the reaction of “community authorities”, but I’m pretty sure that I’ll go to minus and have a lot of discontent.
