One day my old Toshiba Sattelite Pro refused to work, and I was already tired of wearing service centers. It was decided to buy a laptop.
I limited myself to a budget of $ 500-600. Choice fell on

Equipment
- Charger
- A laptop
- Battery
- Cloth
- CDs with drivers and additional software
This set is quite enough to install the OS and start using the laptop.
Housing
The case is made soundly: aluminum cover with a matte surface. The idea of aluminum is implemented on almost the entire body, except for the bottom and sides. Below is black plastic. The black frame around the screen is glossy.

Left side

Located on it (left to right):
- Power connector
- Network RJ-45 Ethernet connector
- HDMI
- 2 USB 2.0 ports
- microphone input
- headphone output
- PCI-express
Front side

On the left and right of the case are the speakers, in the center is the WiFi on / off switch and card reader.
The sound is immediately noted - this is his weakness. Pretty quiet play, often not comfortable. If they were not directed downwards - the situation would be better.

Right side

On the right is only a CD / DVD-RW.
Backside

Here we have 1 port USB 2.0 and D-SUB
Using
The laptop comes with DOS installed, but the disks come with all the drivers and additional software for Windows XP, Vista, 7.
The screen is good, supports a maximum resolution of 1366x768. The screen does not recline by 180 degrees.
On top is a 1.3 MPix webcam

Also, there is a built-in microphone, which is located on the left above the keyboard.
The keyboard is waterproof, the buttons are comfortable, the press is smooth and quiet.
The touchpad is made under aluminum, which at first is not very familiar for tactile sensations, but after an hour of work you get used to it. The buttons are made under chrome.

The indicators are located just to the left of the touchpad: Turn on, charge, WiFi (Bluetooth), access to the hard disk.
Performance
After switching on, the LEDs on the front panel light up. All LEDs, except for the charging status, are lit blue, charging - pink.
The noise from the cooler is moderate.
64-bit processor, 1 core, 1 thread.

After the purchase, Windows 7 64 was installed - the laptop works quite lively.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512Mb video card allows you to view HD movies without the slightest criticism. From the network I read that even when viewed on a TV via HDMI 1080p, the quality is good, there are no “brakes”.

The hard disk is installed with a capacity of 320 GB, you can rate the speed characteristics on the charts:

Windows test

My personal opinion
The body, of course, looks beautiful, but there are traces of the slightest touch. I was very pleased with the speed of work, it may seem weak to many people, but for my tasks, both for watching movies and working, it is quite good, especially with a battery life of about 3-4 hours. I liked exactly this location of connectors.
From practice, on the High-Performance settings while watching an HD movie, the laptop worked for 3 hours, and there were still about 20 minutes left.
For such a price, around $ 600 for me, it was optimal at the time of purchase, but now I don’t regret it - a great horse.
The only thing I don’t like is the sound, it’s very quiet. But in this, I think, constructively guilty arrangement.
And for a snack
Silver rectangle - Winchester.
