Three mobile games that turned my ideas about mobile games in general

I deliberately did not indicate which of the mobile platforms I mean, since all the games presented are on the Android Market, iPhone AppStore and OVI Store (Symbian 605, Symbian 603 with accelerometer support)
for a seed teaser of one of them:

the rest is under the cut (TRAFFIC)
UPD added video of all games on the iPhone

and now the surprise: this game is not available anywhere anywhere yet =) The game is preparing to enter the android and iphone somewhere in a week (I did not find any information about the symbian version). In the meantime, you can be content with the first part of the game, with which I will begin my review.
Immediately make a reservation that I played these games for symbian, and the rest I just saw from a friend on the NTS Hero. I didn’t see the versions for iPhone, and I can’t say anything about working capacity.

Raging thunder

This is not a game that is familiar to owners of Nokia touch phones on Symbian s60v5.

The heroine of the review is made on the same principle as out-of-the-box racing, i.e. The game is an accelerometer, the same system of collecting nitro and evading "braking" bonuses. Only there is some difference. Firstly, there is a choice of 4 cars instead of 3. Secondly, in the championship mode you can collect money, buy these cars and upgrade their characteristics (black is the coolest =))
Collecting and accumulating boosts, you can develop a sickly speed, and only manage to pull the phone left and right. "Hit" on the orange skull slows down the car significantly, and in the absence of nitro can lead to loss. Bump into the walls, too, should not be. One or two blows and the race is lost: opponents always breathe in the back of their heads and overtake at every opportunity. In general, the game is very dynamic and delays non-childish. There are some kind of springboards on which it is very fun to fly, especially at high speed.
Consider the interface:
image
On the left, as you can see, is the level of accumulated nitro. He is going through lightning, generously scattered around the track. If you need to enable acceleration, feel free to poke into the left side of the screen, and keep it as long as necessary.
On the right is another level (I do not know how to call him). He accumulates at the moment when it becomes possible to overtake an opponent. By clicking on the strip, the machine either increases speed and overtakes, or knocks the car, as shown in the figure. Everything else is completely understandable and standard.

And on android

iphone

There is an opportunity to play Wi-Fi with friends or connect to game servers (but only when connecting to Wi-Fi type)

Armageddon Squadron

image
As you can see, this is an aircraft simulator with aircraft from the time of WWII.
Control is also an accelerometer. In the interface there is a button "fire", a mini-radar and a button to change weapons (missiles / bombs / machine gun - the set depends on the type of mission)
There are several different types of missions: the destruction of enemies, the protection of the territory, the sinking of ships and even the destruction of dams (!).

The game has a system of titles and awards, upon receipt of which new maps, missions and so on are revealed. There is also a Time-Attack mode in which you have to fly through the cleverly located checkpoints for a certain time. It is difficult =). The cards are different, there is a fast game mode with a flexible system of settings, and a beautifully made start menu.

Toonwarz

My favorite game =)

image

This is a 3D first person shooter with a large number of weapons and large maps. Of the weapons there are machine guns, minigun, grenades, sniper rifle and others.

Tasks involve a complete study of the map, because, for example, you first need to kill an officer at one end, to get the key. Then hike to the other end of the map, unlocking the door with the key, taking the suitcase with explosives. Finally, the final journey to the third end of the map for the explosion of the object. There are few types of enemies in the game, and they differ in the degree of killing and the form of clothing. Of course, they act stupidly, stand still and firing at you from a cannon. But there are uncle-kamikazes who force you in anger to throw the phone at the wall, after the appearance of the inscription “you are killed” =) here they are:

They come from ambush and in large quantities, so that death comes mainly from them.
Unfortunately, playing the game on Nokia is pretty hard due to the lack of multitouch. It is necessary to first come up, then aim, and then press the shot button. But with proper skill you can get used.

Comparison of Android and Symbian platforms and output

It is immediately evident that the games are not made for Symbian. On Android, the picture is smooth, smooth, nice to look at, but on Nokia the images are quite pixely, it’s clear that the textures are simply compressed to fit the size. However, you can still play. As for the glitches, then no one was seen. All games fly without brakes (only the ascadron slows down a bit in time-attack mode).
All games are complex, it is interesting to play them.
It's very funny to look at the person playing Raging Thunder from the side, so to save the psyche of those around you, don't pull the phone in public =)
All games are released by Polarbit www.polarbit.com
