A group promoted by the Internet will go to Eurovision

In the qualifying competition for Eurovision 2010 in Russia, the singer won, who was promoted exclusively by his talent and the power of the Internet. Peter Nalich and his group of comrades, who became famous after the publication on YouTube of their video for the song “Gitar” (over 2.7 million views) in 2007, presented their new ballad “Lost and forgotten” to the public and jury. They scored 20.9% of the vote, which allowed them to become the absolute leaders of the qualifying competition and represent Russia at Eurovision.

Frankly, this is the first Eurovision qualifying contest in our country, which did not look tightly biased from the very beginning. I understand that Nalitch and Co., most likely, do not shine to take the first place, the song for this contest is too unformatted for them, and even sad, but it's still nice that it’s not just the paid “miracle” that will go, but the real choice of the country whatever he was.

What started it all - the clip "Gitar":

Personally, I liked Buranovsky grandmothers more, who took 3rd place. They would just have a song even more catchy (ditties ?!;)) and in general there would be a bomb.
