(Not) suitable names for servers, devices, variables and other IT-pieces
So far I don’t have to manage a fleet of my own servers, but (on duty) I often mess with servers of different hosting providers. And that's what I noticed: someone (more precisely, almost all) doesn’t invent names for hosts (they give ordinal numbers and only), but for others, the approach is more soulful. For example, in Infobox, servers are called something like this: srv013 .infobox.ru or s890 .infobox.ru - boring. And Spaceweb has more fun: berlin .spaceweb.ru, rio .spaceweb.ru or manchester .sweb.ru and so on in honor of other cities.
But the proper names help to identify the object faster and more accurately (it seems, therefore, all military equipment has memorable and easily pronounced names). This is what, on the occasion of the outgoing Friday, I thought: what if someone from the hosters gave their servers female names?
Just imagine, a tired technical support employee is returning from work, and suddenly a colleague calls him with the characteristic question “ How are you? »So that you know what to prepare before the shift. And it is here that the admin proudly declares to the whole bus stop ...

Or, for example, it answers like this:

UPD: The comments suggest that Yandex is also a fan of joke. For starters you: kenny.yandex.ru, necromancy.yandex.ru and bomjovnik.yandex.ru (at the moment these hosts really exist, ping, and the latter, as also suggested , even redirects http to the page with Yandex logos).
