The MeeGo repository will be publicly available this month, also for the N900

Valtteri Halla - Nokia employee and part-time member of MeeGo Technical Community - wrote a lot of things in his blog about launching a new platform. In particular, Nokia and Intel are planning to open a repository by the end of the month, targeting both Atom devices and the N900. Now, of course, it’s hard to say whether the N900 will be used as one of the first target devices for the MeeGo platform, but the very fact of opening repositories is quite interesting in light of the fact that Nokia hasn’t achieved any recognition about upgrading the N900 to Maemo 6. Besides, that the usual N900 customer is a bit of a boom, to be honest: the repository that supports the N900 is almost the same as the official update.

And a little bit from the blog:
Nokia and Intel have a repository by the end of this month. I think it’s a real merger of moblin and maemo. I have a link to the Intel ATOM boards and the Nokia N900.
Nokia and Intel are going to open a repository by the end of the month. I think this event will be the official start of the project MeeGo, combining moblin and maemo. Initially planned to make available the raw part of the source code and binary repositories in order to build the first branch of MeeGo for devices on the ATOM platform and Nokia N900
