LastHistory is a new way to look at your listening history at Last.fm

Small and absolutely free program LastHistory allows you to analyze the history of listening to music with Last.fm through interactive visualization, thereby studying your own past, combining the music you listened to with photos from iPhoto or recording in the calendar.



LastHistory can be used in one of two modes, each of which is optimized for a specific use case:

Analysis mode

This mode can be used for interactive analysis of arbitrary listening histories (not necessarily your own) in three main directions: time, composition, and genre. Integrated tools such as search, playlist highlighting, mouse-over information and scaling information allow you to visualize a musical listening history on each of these aspects.

Personal mode

This mode adapts the visualization indicators in the analysis mode to explore your own past: adding photos from your iPhoto library and events from the iCal calendar to the visualization, you can recall your past. For example, listen to the music that played in the moments of your trip or event, providing all this slideshow from the relevant photos. Or, for example, find the most popular songs that you have listened to for a certain period of time, having studied the selected tracks in the visualization.


The application is desktop and runs on Mac OS X v10.5 and higher.
