Actually, the gift itself was made and presented on February 14. When a beloved woman took out a beautiful jewelry box from under the pillow, then I prepared to run away just in case - you never know what the reaction will be to the woman who waited for the diamond and found the cog? Well, nothing happened;)
So, we will need nickel-plated or copper-coated cogs and gadget M3 or M4 (aesthetes can try M5, but I do not advise), a piece of copper wire 1-3mm in diameter and 10 centimeters long, a round file, a soldering iron, a vise or clip and half an hour of free time .
Unfortunately, I did not make a photo of making a gift, therefore I describe the process in words plus photos of the finished product:

So, gently clamp a cog in a vice, placing two matches under the thread (or any pieces of wood), so as not to damage the cutting, make a cut in the cap with the size of the wire, repeat the same with the nut. Screwing the nut all the way down, you cut down the protruding part of the screw - now, by unscrewing the nut, you will restore the slightly damaged thread. Then you can even slightly tweak the file so that it is easy to twist.
Well heated soldering iron tins this propyl. If the steel is poorly soldered, go to the kitchen, kiss your woman and gently sneak a bag of citric acid - however, a couple of crystals is enough. If there is no citric acid, you can take an aspirin tablet from the first-aid kit and break off a piece of it. After acid, rinse the soldering spot thoroughly, otherwise in a couple of days there will be a buee.
Make a ring of copper wire the size of your chosen finger and solder to the cog. It’s the same for her finger (I estimated beforehand the thickness of which phalanx of my finger corresponds to her finger, so I guess with the size) and solder to the gadget:

You carefully polish the assembled structure, you can even paint it so that the copper does not tarnish. If you find a tube with the inscription “Asidol” in household goods, then everything will sparkle. Alas, I was too lazy to varnish and, as can be seen in the pictures, the copper became dull in a week. Estets can silver - in the internet there are a lot of recipes for home silvering.
