Illfonic ported
Nexuiz to XBox and PS3, substantially reworking the look of the game, making it, as reported in "Victorian style." According to the developers, they tried to preserve the gameplay of the original Nexuiz game as much as possible by using the original Dark Places engine, adding several features, in particular, the new game mode “Mutation”.
The plot of the game: “For centuries, the two races Kavussari and Forsellians fought galactic wars. Over time, the two races concluded a peace treaty between different cultures in the galaxy. Now, each race will fight not on the margins of war, but on special arenas, which will make it possible to throw out the seething hatred between cultures, while maintaining a fragile truce. For this purpose, on the three planets of each race (Kavussari, Forsellian), as well as the destroyed planet Atavirta, special battle arenas were created. ”

Illfonic includes: Paul 'Echon' Jackson, the author of the Quake 2 engine modification called EGL and Quakedev.net admin, Forest LordHavoc Hale (the author of DarkPlaces engine and one of the main developers of Nexuiz, and Chris Holden, the creator of Quake 2 Extremities mission pack.
