Calculation of the optimal viewing distance LCD TV (LCD TV) in Excel
I was interested in the topic of choosing a TV, and, of course, I have already returned several times to the question of the necessary and sufficient size of its screen.
As a result of studying various sources (including authoritative;) such as forum.ixbt.com, I found out that the optimal ratio for LCD (LCD) TVs, unlike CRT, is the ratio of screen height and distance of the viewing point - 1: 6. However, I want to remind you that for CRT screens, the ratio of the screen diagonal to the viewing point was considered to be the minimum acceptable ratio of 1: 3 (in the calculator, the calculations are given). Such information is actually much easier to use for the average person. Since there is no information about the height of the screen as such on the TV box, I created a sign in which I provide all the necessary calculation results.
