Amateur addon to "Space Rangers 2: Reboot" - "KR2: Revolution" [version 2.0 / R4]
Long ago, work began on the unofficial game add-on on the official Space Rangers developer forum , Elemental Games. The impetus for the start of the process was the closing of the table of records (TR), the only online component of the game that moved players to replay the game, as well as, in the light of these events, the opening of the toolkit for working with game scripts.
Actually, TR was closed due to the appearance of the trainer, which was created by the guys from StarMind , but it is silly to blame them. EG already by that time broke up into EG itself and Katauri Int., Because the patches either had no one to do or there was no other way.
After some time on the forum, there was a scandal between the Director of Elementals and the population of the forum (details in RN No. 6, “Theme of the issue” ), which resulted in the developer’s closing of this forum . It would seem that there can be no talk of continuing to work on the addon, but EG fans are people so loyal, if not to EG, then at least to each other, that they went to the forum of the outsource developer KR2 , CHK-Games, and also on created from scratch by one of the admins of the EG hosting srclan.org forum (on SMF 2).

There the work continued, unexpectedly for everyone, still not stalled (but passed on to the relay to comrade Bogdan Lvov); and yesterday there was already a third patch for “KP2: Revolution” with the number R4 (release 4). The news did not appear on the main page of the CHK-Games website, but the patch itself is already available on the download page: snk-games.ru/revolution.htm
I must say that the work on the addon on this patch is not completed. There are still mistakes, suggestions, ideas, etc., over which the community and such enthusiastic enthusiasts as ksenobayt and Bogdan Lvov will work. PS I almost forgot, comrades from StarMind have long created and constantly update their patch to change the resolution of the game , which will allow you to play comfortably even on exotic laptop screens. The current version of the SR2 Resolution Patch - 1.2.5, is also suitable for the informal add-on (for versions R2 and higher).

- Fixed a large number of departures during hypertransitions, takeoffs from planets, etc.
- Fixed a crash of the engine PB, which occurred when capturing an enemy base in automatic mode.
- Fixed crash related quests
- Updated textures PB - now they are much higher resolution
