Skinput - turn your body into a touchscreen

Scientists from Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft's Redmond research laboratories have developed a prototype device that turns a human body into a touchscreen. In particular, the video shows the use of hands to control applications, such as Tetris.

The picture is projected onto the hand, and all actions are carried out by striking the fingers (or part of the hand) - each finger is responsible for a particular function.

The technology is generally simple, the sensor picks up sound waves propagating through the body after hitting a finger, or part of the hand, and as a result of analyzing this wave, it is concluded exactly where the blow occurred.

The value of such an application seems to me very doubtful, because how to use this device, for example, being dressed in a jacket / down jacket / sheepskin coat, for example for dialing a number, I cannot imagine.
