10 years of the era of mp3. Is there a result?

A fruitful discussion of my previous post on music, labels, musicians and copyright prompted me to another topic.
Let's open the champagne and get down to it. I propose to mark a significant date - 10 years of free music.

Indeed, two pioneers:
Napster - according to Wikipedia :
service operated between June 1999 and July 2001 .
KaZaa - first introduced by the Dutch company Consumer Empowerment in March 2001 ...
In 2003, Kazaa signed a lawyer.

It has been 10 years that has passed in the music industry under the banner of “fighting copyright and labels” and for “free distribution of music without annexations and contributions .”

Is it time to take stock, albeit intermediate ones? 10 years is a long time.

The 60s, 70s, 80s, these three decades were the “golden age” of labels. We know, remember, love and listen to so far many musicians and groups that have emerged, have gained popularity, and have reached "star" status in any of these decades. In 10 years (from 1960 to 1970) the whole history of The Beatles was done, in 12 years (1968 - 1980) - Led Zeppelin, in 8 years (before the first disband, from 1968 to 1976) - Deep Purple.
Each from that era remained their milestones and their favorite names, but they are almost always there.
All of them were, achieved world success, and no “labels” and “copyrights”, it seems, they were not a hindrance at all.

Ten years of “the era of digital freedom” have passed. How many of you can name today, arisen in these 10 years? So, to "put next to the" stars "of previous decades? Favorite names with which you will pass the next 10, and, perhaps, 20 years in the player? Could it be Radiohead (as most often mentioned in connection with the theme)?
However, no. The first album is 1992, the first "star" - "OK Computer" - 1997. The next two, "created" Radiohead as "stars" - Kid A and Amneziac - 2000 and 2001.
Who then?

I am sure that some trip-hop and other trans-dub-rave-techno-stars of the local dance floor will be called to me right away. Maybe. I am sure that they have many admirers for whom they are the only light in the music window. But let's be honest with ourselves.
Where are all those lonely unrecognized young geniuses from whom “the movers and shakes of the world capital conspiracy drank the blood” and other snaremen of imperialism represented by major labels, and who they promised to release from the hated copyright and its supporters, and release the media pirate in the event of their victory over the world of musical capital in a brave new world of free music?
I see that there is a victory, but young and beautiful geniuses are not.
Whether we won that it was necessary to win, eh?
