Compared with the previous version of the program , the quality of recognition of documents with a complex structure has been significantly improved. Low-quality images — faxes and pictures taken with a mobile phone camera — are much better processed . And the documents taken by ordinary digital cameras, FineReader 10 converts 30% more accurate than the previous version of the program. In the tenth version, the number of recognition languages ​​has been increased - now there are 186 of them . At the same time, the quality of “understanding” of texts in Asian languages ​​improved by 30%, and in European languages ​​- by 20% .

The program uses the second generation of adaptive document recognition technology ADRT2. The user no longer needs to reformat the recognized text - the program “sees” the document as a whole, completely restoring its logical structure . This greatly facilitates further work with long or complex files. The new version of FineReader more accurately recognizes page numbers, footnotes, headers and footers, image captions, font and header styles, table of contents and multi-level headers.

The program is ready to "eat" and photos , including very low quality. In order to improve the quality of work with the photographed documents, the image is pre-processed: perspective distortions are corrected, not sharp and blurred photos are corrected.

Not forgotten and users of e-books. The new version of FineReader has features that make the transfer of paper books into electronic form and work with them much easier and more convenient. Thus, the program can automatically save chapters of a book into separate HTML files and restore links in the content to the corresponding chapters of the book. Now e-books users will be able to independently create files for reading on these popular devices.
