Idea: Chamber of Weights and Measures 2.0

The idea is very simple, probably somewhere was already. But half an hour Google did not give tangible results.

All once faced with the problem of choosing a phone model, player, camera, speakers and anything. Many solved this problem in online stores by reading a couple of reviews and comments of experienced users. But getting an idea of the real size of things from the Internet is not always possible. Our brain initially does not think centimeters or grams. But he knows how this or that thing is in size and how much it weighs if you take it in your hand or move it. Here is the idea.

Create a service in which it will be possible to compare the size of any thing with any. The main thing is that one of the things should be easily accessible and widespread, and the size of the other one should be recognized by the user. And it can be any thing. But it is easier to start with electronics (mobile phones, players, etc.).

For example, the manager (or whatever their name is) at McDonalds knows the size of the box with Big Mac, but does not know the size of the HTC HD2. And in general, he is far from the world of HighTech toys, but decided to buy the first device, in principle, he decided on the model and wanted to know the size, how it would lie in his hand, before he received the package from the online store. Or the accountant decided to stock up with the player, but I never thought what this thing was, but he knows how to size colored paper stickers or something.
')
Search for a ruler and measure on the palm and in the imagination the size of these devices is not convenient for everyone. It is more convenient to click the mouse, choose a couple of parameters for comparison and get a clear visual presentation. For pictures and photos of devices on the Internet do not always preserve the scale of the product.

In general, ways to get two sizes:
- Comparison on the computer screen with other things that are around the user or he can easily find / touch them.
- Output to the printer scan cube / parallelepiped with user-defined size.

You can compare the weight on any food products: chupa chups, chocolates, a loaf of bread, a bottle of lemonade. Yes, and some non-food too: a tube of toothpaste, coins, batteries ...

Over time, this service can be developed and made API for various online stores.
And to expand the coverage from simple electronics to ... I do not know ... fuel trucks of different models :)
The most important thing is real dimensions and respect for scale when comparing! For now. Discuss?

PS do not carp at examples.
