Fujitsu introduced the most compact UMPC / Tablet PC
On May 16, at the WinHEC 2007 exhibition, Fujitsu unveiled a new device, the U-series of ultra-compact computers (UMPC) - FMV-U8240. This device is really small. Screen size reduced from standard for UMPC 7 "to 5.6" widescreen (1024 x 600 pixels). The weight of the device is 580 grams. The stated battery life is 4 hours or 8 hours with an extended battery.
The FMV-U8240 will install Windows XP Pro or Vista Business. 800MHz Intel A110 processor (same as Samsung Q1 Ultra ), introduced last month in Beijing as a competitor to Via's C7-M. ')
The main advantage of the new model, compared to competitors, is the ability to use a computer both in laptop mode with a keyboard, and as a UMPC with a touch screen.
