As a person who loves to work with his hands, the idea came to me to sip a new case for a flash drive, for a long time this idea was postponed until one day by fate I was not thrown into the village. Of all the blessings of civilization, there is only one, onezomboyaschik TV with 5 channels (and then 3 of them broadcast a highly artistic snowball 24 hours a day) and a workshop full of tools for the very “nimagu”. Such conditions simply left no room for laziness, and I, taking the first birch log, spitting on a twenty-degree frost, went to sculpt a new building. The design of the flash drive spun in my head ingenious, and simple as a log in my hand, but the result exceeded my most modest expectations.

I saw off the workpiece by eye, pinned off the excess.
Having decided that using a small plane to handle such a small object is extremely inconvenient, I used the grinding wheel.
As a result, I got a neat parallelepiped.
Putting aside the blank, I took my flash drive. It was very pitiful to crush the hull ... but I still did it.
Next, my goal was to drill holes for the board. When I saw the result, I had to check on the account of my clumsy hands - the drill went to the side and the hole turned out to be offset. But, thank God, I took the sizes with a stock. Then he did the same with the cap and processed the file.
The cap keeps on surprisingly tight, you have to make some effort to open it.
The time has come for the most difficult task - drilling two holes, along the board, along the entire length of the case. I will pass the cord through them. After some reflection, I came to the conclusion that it is better to hold the drill in a vise and push the workpiece onto the drill, but if I drill while holding the drill in my hand, then almost 100% will go to the side and all my work will be in vain.
And now the rough shape of the flash drive is already showing up, I already passed the cord through the holes and pasted the board.
Well, that's the final form of what I did in the workshop. By this time I finally froze, ran home with a file - finish the case and warm up.
Having finished with the form, I covered the whole thing with a dark stain, and finally we got this flash drive:
I am very pleased with the result, I got a very interesting look. The final dimensions are 27 x 63 x 10 mm.
