Our programmable brain. Part one

I think many will be interested in the theory of the structure of human consciousness from the recognized guru of psychedelic revolution Tim Leary , and Robert Anton Wilson , which expanded this theory and in many respects promotes its dissemination.

Consider our consciousness as a biocomputer with software and hardware. Consciousness is not a computer, but only modeled, which is quite acceptable. The hardware is represented by the brain itself, the auxiliary nervous network and other peripherals that have been sufficiently studied in modern science.

Of greater interest is the software component - it is not only "located in the brain", but also outside it - in the form of a book that stores the signals of long-dead people or articles on the habr, where the signals of well-being people are. In general, human software consists of all signals ever passing through the brain. If the consciousness were just an unregulated timeless bundle of similar signals, we would have neither an individuality nor the notorious “I”.

But how is the input signal processed? With the help of programs entered discretely.
Consider four types of programs:

As a rule, the imprint is stronger than all subsequent conditioning and training of the brain. In moments of imprint vulnerability, the brain allows the incoming program to be stored in memory and practically merge with the hardware, changing the structure of neurons. Gradually accumulated imprints complicate and structure the brain, but at the same time limit it. The original “pure” consciousness becomes a hostage to its structure. Each individual puts all the input signals of the unknowable world into the framework of the structure of his consciousness.

Next, divide the software into 8 contours. This is just a convenient model, in any case not part of the "real" world.

The development of these four contours passes through each individual organism as the brain develops, repeating the development of the genus as a whole, allows the gene pool to survive and to establish a connection between generations. They determined our evolution to the present. The next group of four circuits is much younger than the first one and predetermines our further development.
