Logitech diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks

Designed for convenience.

Designed for beauty.

After my BTC 6300CL after the tea spilled on it went into another world, I seriously started to choose a new keyboard.

The main requirements were:

  1. Standard key layout
  2. Wireless
  3. No extra multimedia buttons (or their minimum)
  4. Good key stroke
  5. Convenience, size, beauty and the like

After reviewing the catalogs of most computer and computer computer shops in the city, my choice fell on the Logitech diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks

Equipment

Logitech style box. Glossy, brilliant, beautiful.

Somewhere here, probably it’s time to write a phrase like “I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos, I’m not a photographer and camera, I have a crap”))

In the shiny box, another one is black.

The keyboard package is pretty standard: receiver, disk, all sorts of pieces of paper

image

And, actually, the keyboard itself

image

The quality is, frankly, on top. I did not even expect.

Appearance

The keyboard itself has a glossy surface, it gets dirty very quickly, but this, in principle, is not particularly annoying.

image

Aluminum palm rest, ostensibly so that hands do not sweat. It does not affect the sweating of hands, but it looks stylish. In the middle - a slightly bulging Logitech logo

image

The buttons are matte, very pleasant to the touch. The letters are white, additional functions on the F-keys are gray-blue.

image

On the reverse side - soft-touch plastic. Rubber feet, logo, battery compartment. Nothing extra.

image

image

The keyboard works on 4 AAA batteries. According to the developers, the battery life is up to three years . Pleased that the Duracell were bundled.

image

Side view. No comments.

image

On the right side is a switch. Pretty comfortable, unremarkable.

image

Top right - battery charge indicator. It lights up for 10 seconds after turning on, then goes out. When the batteries are dead, it should be constantly burning (it was not possible to check). Nearby are the volume control keys and a calculator (can be reassigned to SetPoint).

image

Another indicator is on the Caps Lock button. On - on, off - off. Mine is quite convenient.

image

The receiver is standard. Not big, not small.

Job

Windows 7 recognized the keyboard immediately and without problems, but I still installed the drivers by downloading the latest version from the site.

The keyboard is positioned as a model for laptops. Differences from conventional keyboards, apparently, in the Fn key, which replaced the standard Win buttons and the context menu (I do not know what it is called) between the right Ctrl and Alt.

image

On the keys F1-F12, Print Screen, Break hung additional features to press with the Fn key. These capabilities can be reassigned in SetPoint.

Default:

  1. Fn + F1 - Browser Home Page
  2. Fn + F2 - Email Client
  3. Fn + F3 - Default Search Engine
  4. Fn + F4 - IM client
  5. Fn + F5 - Analogue Alt + Tab
  6. Fn + F6 - Zoom-
  7. Fn + F7 - Zoom +
  8. Fn + F8 - Gadgets (I still do not understand what it is)
  9. Fn + F9 - Media Player
  10. Fn + F10 - Previous track
  11. Fn + F11 - Play / Pause
  12. Fn + F12 - Next Track
  13. Fn + Print Screen - Context menu (the one that was between Ctrl and Alt)
  14. Fn + Break - Scroll Lock

image

The bottom row of keys (Ctrl, Alt, Space, Win, Fn) is made slightly protruding above the rest. In fact, it is extremely convenient.

image

For some reason, the left Shift was reduced, and a duplicate slash was made next to it. You do not immediately get used to the narrow shifto, but in principle, you get used to it and do not notice it.

image

Another distinctive feature of the keyboard is the CD-ROM open key. I honestly don’t see any good in it, even when used with a laptop, and you cannot reassign it. When pressed, it pushes the first drive in the system; if you press and hold, a menu appears with the drive selection.

image

findings

The keyboard works. Works great. No delays, glitches and the like. The key travel is slightly more than on laptops - it is convenient.

For those who love style, quality, convenience, freedom from wires, this keyboard is ideal. I do not even know what else to say. The keyboard is so good that some kind of assessment will probably be superfluous, however ...

Minuses

  1. Small left shift
  2. Context menu key moved to Fn + Print Screen
  3. Cannot reassign drive open key
  4. Glossy get dirty
  5. Price. I bought in the Eldorado for 2449 rubles , but I saw it for 3,500.

pros

  1. Battery indication
  2. Indication Caps Lock
  3. No extra keys
  4. Inability to disable Num Lock
  5. Excellent bottom row of keys

And finally - a few unsuccessful photos.
