Today I discovered that most of the video recordings from the Olympics on Youtube, referred to in the Russian-language media, are no longer available due to copyright infringement. The copyright holder, closing access to the recordings of the broadcasts, is the International Olympic Committee.
For example,
when you try to watch a video about a dead Georgian sleeper Nodar Kumaritashvili, the following message appears:
This video is no longer available due to a copyright infringement claim received from the International Olympic Committee.
I understand perfectly well that the rights to broadcast the Olympics were bought by a huge number of TV channels for big money. Even for the NBC channel, which paid more than $ 2 billion for it (almost
three times more than in previous games), the broadcast will be unprofitable.

I do not have the opportunity to follow the television broadcasts, even on the sport box. And now, because of the copyright holder, it will not be possible to watch the missed moments. At this rate, it remains to slightly tweak the Olympic Charter and begin to take money for the use of rings and all other symbols. It's sad.
