Internet Explorer 8 Award
Competition additions to Internet Explorer 8 is designed for teams of up to 4 people. As part of the competition you are invited to develop a web fragment, an accelerator and a visual search for Internet Explorer. (How to do this can be found on

The prize for first place is $ 5000. The second and third prizes are $ 4000 and $ 3000, respectively. Separately, prizes for the best accelerator, a web fragment and a visual search - for $ 2000 each.
Next Generation Web Award
A new generation of web programming contest is held between teams of students up to 4 people. You need to create an ASP.NET or Silverlight website that satisfies the topic of the competition and submit a screencast (no longer than 5 minutes) with a story about the project and a demonstration to the jury by March 15, 2010. To participate in the second stage, you must provide a link to an already working website.
