Upgrade the LG 32LH3020 TV to almost 32LH5000, or how to save $ 150
By creating a product line, the current manufacturer approaches this differentiatedly, trying to cover several market segments. Most often, cheaper models of the lower price level are obtained from the older ones by cutting off some of the tasty features.
On the other hand, thanks to this approach, we sometimes have the opportunity in these most junior models to return the goodies inherent to the older ones, but by paying the price of the younger one.
Examples include the long-standing Radeon (which turned into a faster model with a key in the registry) and phenom II three-core processors in which you can unlock the cache memory and the fourth core .
And our today's experimental - LG 32LH3020.

LCD TVs LG 2009 model year (a series of LH, LU, LF2510) made on the same element base, which is based on the Mstar6 chipset.
Take a look at the characteristics:
It can be noted that in addition to the iron differences, there are also software ones.
Here it is - the hero of the topic, 32LH3020, recently purchased.
Usb port is at the back. And even though it says service only, something tells us that this is not quite so :) The default menu looks like this:
Here you can find out that in order to get the goodies we need, you need to go to the service menu. On firmware version 3.15, this could be done by pressing the OK buttons on the remote and the TV at the same time for 5 seconds. If your TV has firmware 3.48, then when you try to roll back to 3.15, you can turn the TV into a brick. To this brick, then it will be necessary to flood the com-port through the hyper terminal with the correct firmware or even carry it to the service.
This is not our way. The service console has an ADJUST button that allows you to get into the same menu.
So we need either a service console or a PDA with an infrared port (it’s easier to borrow such a thing from friends)
To him in addition, we need novii remote trial and a profile for it.
Run novii remote and click on the ez-adjust button (to avoid pain just below the back, it’s better not to touch the other buttons). We are asked for the password, enter 0000, using the already native remote control from the TV.
Voila, we're on the menu. Choose ez adjust 3 :
Put emf to 1 and divx to hd. The remaining items do not touch.
Press the button back on the remote, then the menu button and admire the result:
Now the TV can show from a flash drive * .jpg, play * .mp3 and show a movie (if you came by the suggested links, then you already know which formats are supported). We brought 32LH3020 closer to 32LH5000, which in Belarus cost $ 600 and $ 750, respectively.
