Not so long ago, Steve Jobs negatively spoke about several companies and products at a corporate meeting. Including Adobe. The other day, the head of Apple again walked through Adobe Flash. This time in an interview with representatives of the Wall Street Journal. Jobs put everything on the shelves, not limited to accusations of laziness.
Jobs claims that Flash devours processor resources and is full of “holes” in the security subsystem. He is categorically opposed to using Flash and stated that "we are not going to waste energy on outdated technology." And the head of Apple compared Flash with such "extinct" technologies as floppy drives, old data ports (for example, FireWire 400) and even CDs.
Mr. Jobs advises everyone to abandon Flash and switch to new and alternative solutions such as HTML5 and H.264 video codec. ')
