Examples domains

On the Internet, there are often various instructions, manuals and articles on IT topics, in which you need to register domain names, instead of which the user must substitute his own domain. As practice shows, in such cases any absolute templates are used, for example, the name of your website is ru / install.php . But few people know that for these purposes there are special domain names, of which there are only 3. These are:

• example.com
• example.org
• example.net

Going to any of these domains, we will see the following text:

You have reached typing "example.com", "example.net", or "example.org" into your web browser.

These are not available for registration. See RFC 2606, Section 3.
