GestIC interface - welcome to tomorrow

image

On the last day of the World Mobile Congress, the Germans from iDent Technology AG shocked the public by demonstrating GestIC, a system that allows you to work with phones, netbooks, cameras and other mobile small things with gestures. But it is not necessary to press the buttons.

A special sensor in the case of the mobile device detects changes in the electrostatic field, which occur when the gadget is taken in hand and, according to the program, performs some kind of action. For example, includes the device.

Of course, it’s a pity to wave a netbook or a TV with a hand so that, for example, it turns off until it works - all this is just in perspective and the video you see is just a demonstration of intentions. But the opportunity itself is good. It seems that the most German invention should be happy in Korea. Driving your fingers over the phone is obviously easier than poking a frozen sausage on the screen.

By the way, iDent itself believes that the first phones supporting the new technology will enter the market in about a year and a half.
