Google acquired a startup reMail

After just a few days after purchasing the Aardvark service, Google continues its series of purchases with an acquisition for an unnamed amount of reMail.

reMail is a developer of a powerful email client for the iPhone, one of the advantages of which is the possibility of full-text search by email content over the built-in iPhone Mail.app. In addition, reMail has an advanced compression technology that allows you to store much more mail directly on the phone, while maintaining the ability to quickly search the entire archive.

Remarkably, the founder of the company previously worked as an intern in the Gmail team, and investors are the founders of the Gmail project Paul Buchheit and Sanjeev Singh, now working on Facebook (after he acquired the FriendFeed service).
