Today I got into the hands of an e-book of Ukrainian-Chinese production "ALPHABET n516". I bought the book because I want to read and read a lot. I am a student, engaged in programming and information security. Buying books on these disciplines is expensive, and reading from a laptop is not very convenient (eyes get tired). Therefore, the choice fell on an e-book, and after long wanderings on the Internet I chose the ABC.
What kind of piece of iron is this, and even with the name of this outlandish one ??

Inside the book itself (and included), inside the box there was an instruction, usb cord, adapter 220 volt-> usb, pretty good headphones with volume control, 2 gb SD card, cord on the hand and a nice leatherette cover.

The book is issued in 6 color solutions - black, yellow, red, green, blue, white.
My choice fell on white. The book is very good in the hand, the quality of plastic and leatherette on the cover is pleasing. The buttons are tight in moderation, they will not press themselves, but no special effort is needed to apply them. The location is quite interesting - on the right below is a four-way joystick, around which there are 4 L-shaped buttons- “Menu”, “OK”, “BACK” and “PLAYER”. They have such a form in order to be equally comfortable to press them both in the horizontal and vertical orientation of the book.
On the same panel, but only slightly to the left are the button for rotating the display and the button for changing the font. On the left along the screen of the button 0-9, "M".
On the left side of the case is the slider, as on older Sony devices. Wildly pleased.
At the top there is a slot for an SD card, a USB port and an off button, which, according to the developers, the driver must be used very, very rarely, below the microphone, speaker, and a 3.5jack slot.
Turn on
The power button in this device is unlikely to be loosened, developers rarely ask for it due to the fact that “all the RAM settings are reset in this case” (I quote the developer’s website). The clock here also refers to the RAM and, therefore, is also reset when it is turned off. The problem of shutting down a simple developer is being solved; it is advised not to turn off the book, because the e-inc screen does not eat the battery if the image is static.

The menu, as can be seen from the screen, is quite understandable and easy to manage.
Immediately I had to flash it, due to the fact that the pre-installed software lagged behind the current state of affairs for a long time.

In general, the design pleases, ergonomics and thoughtfulness. The site is Russified, everything is quite simple and clear. It's a shame that there is no telephone support in Russia (only in Kiev), and our prices are far from the declared ones.
In the Internet I found a Chinese progenitor Alphabet, a piece of iron Hanvon N510
At its base and built a book. It differs from Ukrainian only software, but according to eyewitness assurances, it is possible to reflash it with “azbuka” firmware

In the end, we can say that a good device for your money. It pays off relatively quickly, eyes do not get tired of reading.
