New name . Two versions of the Web IDE received their official names: JetBrains WebStorm and JetBrains PhpStorm. The branding is not finished yet, so you will see the familiar white splash and WI icons in various places. The goal of development remains the same - an ideal tool for PHP / JS developers and web designers.
Fully customizable PHP formatter - this feature has received the most votes in the tracker. Our platform supports import, export and sharing of profiles - so it will be convenient for you to switch between projects with different formatting styles. In addition, you can automatically format the code at the time of check.

PHP debugger with optimized memory usage and correct work with symlinks (which means fewer non-working breakpoints).
PHP editor with improved type deduction for fields, arrays of objects and logical expressions, parameter hinting and working HEREDOC editing.
Remote development with automatic file synchronization - just switch to the browser window to see your changes on the server (the option “Save files on frame deactivation” should be enabled). Renaming and moving files and folders is fully supported.
Smarty support now covers the entire syntax of the 2.x branch. Work on the full support of the 3.x branch is already underway.
SASS Syntactically Awesome Style Sheets support is a great way to create CSS.
Linux users will be pleased with the less aggressive splashscreen, the ability to work with multiple projects and the support for pasting from the clipboard in all dialogs.

- Preview formatting does not work
- IntelliLang plugin / Language Injection settings are missing
- Smarty compiler plugins (custom tags) are not supported
- (S) FTP sync may not work immediately after project reopening.
