And on weekends, I looked through the issues of the first Russian newspaper “Vedomosti” on the website of the Russian National Library. And he came to the conclusion that by and large this was not yet a newspaper in the modern sense. and the blog of the Russian Empire. The structure was as follows - the title. followed by the continuous text notes: “From Pskov ..”, “From France ..”, etc.
“Vedomosti” began to be published in 1703, first published in Moscow and called “Moscow Gazette”, although some of the numbers were printed in St. Petersburg. after some time, the newspaper was constantly printed in Petersburg, then it got its name “St. Petersburg Vedomosti”.
