Significantly reduce the noise level from the computer in 3 minutes
A week ago, my new media extender came to me - Popcorn Hour A200. Everything is fine with her, but there is one problem that today I almost felt through my liver while drinking morning coffee in my chair. Noise. NOISE. Not just noise, but the vibration of the whole room. Paul walks. E-mayo, I think, I changed the awl (A110 with the cooler installed by myself) to soap (the new A200, in which the cooler is installed regularly). I was upset, came home from work in the evening and sadly say so to my wife - I will climb again in the guts (and she doesn’t like it - the surgical intervention in my performance always ends with an unpredictable result) ... I raise the prefix, the noise subsides. I put - it starts again. I think it’s too early to lubricate the cooler (yes, the first thing is to lubricate the cooler - it turns out, people remember their hands from 96 :-)). After all, this is a drywall construction - a false wall with a built-in nightstand for appliances - on which I have a prefix, acts as a resonator - as decks and a rim of a musical instrument. The topic is clear. Need to
GOING VIBRATION!
First I put the book under the console - I expected that the Last of the Fenicore Cooper's Mohicans would help. Chingachguk did not help - the vibration was still transmitted to the resonator. The wife offered a rag. A rag will not work - all air vents will close. And then dear-beloved brings a piece of thick foam rubber the size right from the console. I take, cut out the letter “H” from this foam rubber, so that the width of the “sticks” of the letter is two centimeters. And this Honda club I put under the console. The noise is instantly reduced to the noise level of the heads of the screw installed in the console (slow green from WD).
Happy end
This would calm down, but for us it can not be. Foam rubber stayed :-). I put this foam under the system unit's paws (and I have it right on the floor), and again a miracle - only the uniform rustle of the cooler is heard, no vibration in the legs. Woo la. In general, there is something to work on - you can make, for example, vibration-damping mats (I think the felt-foam rubber sandwich should be quite aesthetic to boast to friends), but the result I got in three minutes is more than satisfactory.
