For 6 months, a lot of events happened on the YouSticker.com project, many new and interesting things were added.

YouSticker.com has found a web 2.0 short domain - stickr.com . Now he is the main project.

Stickr.com has entered the large network of Informer Technologies Inc sites.

Facebook and Friendfeed support

Stickr.com has become even more social, added support for Facebook.com and Friendfeed.com. Crossposts stickers are now available on Twitter, Facebook and Friendfeed, and Livejournal and Evernote are on the way.

Your posts on Stickr pages

After analyzing the service, it was decided to add a form for creating posts directly on the site, since users began to use Stickr not only to add comments on Internet pages, but also as an opportunity to run their micro sticker blog :). At the same time, a new post is immediately added to the user's feed. For us, this is an important step, as now Stickr is turning into a fully functional microblogging system.

In order not to overload the page with a form, we hide the main fields. As soon as the user's cursor clicks on the form, it will open in all its glory. :)



You can add to the post:
* quotes
* images (download from computer or search on Flickr)
* links to pages on the Internet
* video files (add code or find the desired video on YouTube or Vimeo, without leaving our page)
* music files from your computer

What is discussed in Stickr?

We decided to expand the possibilities of the side menu of the user and added a list of "Popular topics". It includes the words that have most often met in the last 24 hours in stickers. Now we are sure that the hottest topics will not be ignored, and users will be able to find more friends by interests.
We also placed this section on the main page of the site, making the list available not only in the last 24 hours, but also in the last 7 or 30 days.

We completely updated the plugin and changed the concept of displaying the toolbar on the pages: there was no need to open and close the toolbar in each tab forcibly, as it now behaves like a pop-up menu attached to the plug-in icon.



All the basic functions have not been changed: you can still change the background color or font size, the size and location of the sticker, make it public or private.



But the main change concerns the ability to attach a sticker not to a specific image on the site, but to any selected area of ​​the page and attach this area to the sticker in the form of a picture.
To do this, just click on the new icon that allows you to add a screenshot, select the required area and click “Save” in the upper left corner of the field. If you want to select the entire contents of the screen, simply click “Save full”. Now you choose what to comment!



This reveals the truly revolutionary potential of stickers. In conjunction with groups, you can test your site, and send errors directly to the group with a picture. We did it first :)
